Roller-Coaster.com.au launched on March 12 2004. At the time fans were saying their final goodbyes to Wonderland Sydney, Dreamworld was preparing to launch their next major thrill ride, The Claw and Sea World's Shark Bay was moments away from its opening.
The community began its life as Total Thrills, a site dedicated to documenting the amusement parks of Australia with photographs and community message boards. As the site's popularity grew, with hundreds of members it was clear that there was a need for a more professionally-focused theme park site in Australia. A site which combined the latest news, as well as photograph updates to document construction, and a source for all the facts about Australia's parks and rides.
After nearly a year in development, Roller-Coaster.com.au was launched with fanfare from theme park fans and industry professionals alike. The site continues to grow and develop to create the ultimate source for theme park news, reviews and multimedia. Roller-Coaster.com.au prides itself on publishing a professional and unbiased industry source.
