Filled with colour and music, Wiggles World will be the ultimate place for wiggly fans to play, dance and sing with their favourite wiggly friends every day of the year.
The Wiggles have taken over the world in terms of pint-sized popularity and will now join with Australia’s number one theme park to bring a new dream to life.
A licensing agreement between the entertainment giants will result in the hottest potato for wiggly fans and an unbeatable recipe for family fun.
Children can dance with Dorothy the Dinosaur, shake their hips with Wags the Dog, wave and wiggle with Henry the Octopus and sail the seas with Captain Feathersword everyday of the year.
Families will buckle up and sing along as they toot toot, chugga chugga through Wigglehouse in the Big Red Car.
Imaginations will run wild in the Fun Spot Activity Centre, filled with fun, educational games and all your favourite Wiggles music.
The Fun Spot is a haven for creative expression and positive social interaction where children and grown-ups can get down to the serious business of fun.
Wiggly fans will also have the chance to learn and play with bouncing barnyard babies at The Wiggles Farmyard Friends, an interactive petting zoo filled with the pitter patter of tiny paws and claws.
And Ahoy There Me Hearties, don’t forget the Captain’s ship because the S.S. Feathersword is setting sail for fun at Wiggles World.
Dreamworld Chief Executive Officer Stephen Gregg said Wiggles World will complement Dreamworld’s signature attractions and further enhance the park’s popularity with children and their families from Australia and across the world.
“This agreement forms a partnership between two great Australian entertainment icons that are both leaders in their fields. We’re extremely excited about relationship and the opportunities it will bring,” Mr Gregg said.
“The Wiggles communicate to children on their level and that’s why they’re so successful. Wiggles World will have a total focus on this whole new market segment creating a safe, fun, learning
environment filled with dancing and singing and all things Wiggly,” Mr Gregg said.
It’s a major coup for the Gold Coast as a tourist destination, a way to wiggle into the overseas market.
“The international popularity of The Wiggles will provide a wonderful opportunity for the Tourism Industry. The Gold Coast and specifically Dreamworld will hold a whole new appeal in markets where the Wiggles are incredibly strong, particularly the UK and USA, as well as build on their growing popularity in Japan and Taiwan.”
Mike Conway, General Manager of The Wiggles said “the style of the park is very similar to our style, very informal and very laid back, we really hit it off.”
“We are very excited about the relationship and thrilled to be a new component of what Dreamworld already does well. Wiggles World will create a unique new attraction destination for our fans around the world,” Mr Conway said.
The Wiggles, Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page and Jeff Fatt have won three ARIA awards and three APRA song writer awards and have sold in excess of 17 million DVDs and videos, and five million CDs and cassettes worldwide.
The fab four of fun will appear at Wiggles World when their heavy touring schedule permits.
Construction is well and truly underway, an existing area of Dreamworld undergoing a complete redevelopment in the multi-million dollar transformation into Wiggles World.
Dreamworld is already home to some of the tallest, fastest thrill rides in the world, Nick Central, Tiger Island, The Australian Wildlife Experience and Big Brother.
Official plans for Wiggles World will be revealed over the next few months.
